We are an international freight-forwarding company, handling ocean imports/exports, located in Oak Brook. We are currently seeking a positive and reliable Accounting Assistant.
The optimal candidates for this position will possess the following:
Strong attention to details
Data entry with high accuracy
Willing and can follow rules consistently
Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Working knowledge of QuickBooks a plus
Must have legal work status
BS/BA in Accounting, or related working experience

Recent college graduates okay
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Handle routine A/R and A/P functions
Ensure timely and accurate processing of payment for vendors
Follow up with outstanding account balances
Analyze and resolve discrepancies of invoices or accounts
Perform data entry, filing, administrative and clerical duties
Maintain digital and physical accounting records
Prepare reports and statements for sales, customers and agents
Communicate with vendors, customers, agents as needed
Assist to keep tract and order office supplies
Additional duties or projects as assigned
