拜伦的我见过你哭的写作背景
1801年，为了同拜伦的贵族地位和身份相称，家里决定送他到一所素有名望的学校——哈罗公学就读。这所在1571年由约翰•里恩创建的学校，在英国历史上培养了许多知名的人物，其中对拜伦十分崇拜的丘吉尔首相就是这所学校毕业的。
这一年，拜伦13岁。
当时的哈罗公学校长约瑟夫•德鲁里在他的书房里接待了这位天资聪颖，外表俊美，但腿有残疾的贵族少年。经过交谈，校长马上发现：“交给我的是一匹在山里野惯了的小马驹。不过，从他眼中看得出，他是有思想的。”
在哈罗公学的日子里，拜伦对正规的课堂学习一如既往地不大用功，可是一到关键时刻，他却能大笔一挥，写出三四十句拉丁文的六韵诗行；他对课本不感兴趣，却热心于课外阅读，博览群书，从而获得了丰富的知识。“懒散而博学”是他中学时代的特点。
